Each year, during a short three-week period, thousands of female Harp Seals congregate, and haul out on the seal ice in the middle of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence to give birth to adorable pups. As beacons for wildlife protection, their iconic faces have been featured in countless conservation campaigns, and now with a population over 2.5 million strong, you can meet these angelic creatures face-to-face in an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience with WANT Expeditions. 

During your magical six days, in addition to two helicopter tours to the colony, you’ll also explore the islands’ beautiful red sand swept shorelines, dotted with historic lighthouses, while searching for Red Fox, visit local museums and artisans to learn about the maritime and cultural history of the islands, and brush` up on your photography skills with sunset and astral photography sessions all guided by well-known biologist, wildlife photographer, and owner of WANT Expeditions, Jessica Pociask.
